THE COMPANY

COSAR is a cooperative society made up of more than 110 beekeepers dedicated to the production, processing and packing of pure honey of the highest quality. Its 40,000 beehives are kept under the same production quality specifications to make sure the final product will remain as the laborious bees have produced it.

COSAR is, nowadays, the result of the merging of nine minor groups devoted to honey production; getting in this way the best experiences from each of them and putting them together to achieve success.

Agriculture businesses are growing and changing rapidly in Argentina, adapting themselves at the same time to the opportunities offered by world markets.
That is how our Board of Directors understands this business and that is why we have focused on developing a philosophy of work with real cooperation and putting the emphasis on the continuous improvement of quality, not only that of our products, but also on our actions,  getting ready for  these global challenges.

Differentiation is very important in a country like Argentina, since we feel we have to demonstrate we are twice as capable to the world. This is certainly no easy task, but to be able to do it has allowed us to generate a very positive inner synergy which daily reminds our members and employees that our success depends on the adoption of the same vision, initiative, determination and hard work in a continuously changing environment. We understand this change as the rebirth of the values, feelings, enthusiasm and emotional involvement which are frequently experimented at the beginning of a new project.

Likewise, COSAR is especially careful about the training and participation of our members and employees, since we mainly rely on them to achieve our aims.
In order to improve quality and productivity we rely on the synergy of abilities and motivations that come from each individual contribution. Thus, the Board makes sure that the appropriate physical and social environment is guaranteed to motivate members and employees to use their abilities at work in order to continuously improve their potentials, processes and final product.

Our Technical Department is the backbone of the company. It works together with PROAPI (internationally recognized National Beekeeping Program) providing support to our beekeepers as well as introducing new technologies to the production of honey free from antibiotics. That is how we generate the most important competitive advantage we have.
Our objective is to make COSAR worldwide known because of its compromise and maximum quality.
